Netbriefings provides webcasting technology for National Parkinson Foundation's Community Partners for Parkinson Care annual meeting
Upcoming webcast builds on Netbriefings' previous work with the National Parkinson Foundation
St. Paul, Minnesota - March 13, 2007 -
Netbriefings, a full-service webcast technology provider that specializes in secure and large-audience Internet broadcasts, will webcast the National Parkinson Foundation Community Partners for Parkinson Care meeting, live from Orlando, Fla., on March 14.
Netbriefings' technology will allow for thousands of people to simultaneously view the live streaming video, presentation slides and real-time interactive messaging. This meeting brings together representatives of the foundation's Community Partners for Parkinson Care program to share their outreach and partnership-building work. The webcast lets partners who are unable to attend in person still take part in the conference.
"Netbriefings allows us to focus on our event without worrying about the technology," said Jose Garcia-Pedrosa, President and CEO of the National Parkinson Foundation. "We are thrilled to have as many people participate as possible, so everyone, including those that cannot attend in person, is able to benefit from the programs we offer and can join us in the fight against Parkinson disease."
Netbriefings provided this service for an earlier National Parkinson Foundation event, as well. The Foundation's Parkinson Connection Conference, which took place Sept. 30, 2006, in Philadelphia, was webcast using Netbriefings technology. Footage from that event is available for viewing on the National Parkinson Foundation website www.parkinson.org.
A major pharmaceutical manufacturer that has partnered with the National Parkinson Foundation intends to use the archive as part of its PR and marketing campaign by posting the archive on its Web site. The pharmaceutical company will also use the archive as an advertising piece during the Parkinson Unity Walk in New York on April 28.
"The National Parkinson Foundation recognized our expertise during the first big-event webcast we produced for the group," said Gary Anderson, president and CEO of Netbriefings. "We're looking forward to this and many more successful webcasts with this great organization."
