Netbriefings Closes First Round Financing

St. Paul, Minnesota - February 7, 2000 - Netbriefings, a full-service webcast technology provider that specializes in secure and large-audience Internet broadcasts, announced closing its first round of financing. The company began seeking investors in mid-September, 1999, and completed subscription in mid-January, 2000, with 156 percent of its financial target. The company will use the financing to drive development, marketing and sales.

"The capital we have just raised is seed capital, representing merely the beginning of what we plan to raise," said Gary W. Anderson, Netbriefings' Chairman of the Board. "I am pleased, however, that the company was able to do this in a timely fashion, which is often not the case for start-up companies in Minnesota." Mr. Anderson added, "The company should now work to build a stronger Board of Directors, use the seed capital to finalize version 1.0 of the product, and prove the marketing model in the Twin Cities region. After that, we should be ready to raise an additional round of financing to execute a national launch."

"We are pleased with the overwhelming interest of the investment community," said Tom Saylor, Netbriefings' President. "Investor enthusiasm supports our belief that the business environment recognizes the value we bring to the market with our Internet conference management services. This round of financing ensures that we'll be in a good position to meet market demand, as rapidly increasing Internet bandwidth makes our services a convenient alternative to various forms of corporate communications."
