Netbriefings Appoints Chief Technology Officer

St. Paul, Minnesota - January 17, 2000 - Netbriefings, a full-service webcast technology provider that specializes in secure and large-audience Internet broadcasts, announced the appointment of Craig Wilson to the post of Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Wilson has been working in the computer and communications industry since 1976. He has spent the last five years designing, installing, and supporting Internetworked applications and solutions.

Before joining Netbriefings, Mr. Wilson started several businesses, including WaveFront Communications, Inc., and Com Squared Systems, Inc. As founder and president of WaveFront, an Internet Service Provider (ISP), he grew the company to over 5,000 customers before Vector Internet Services, Inc. acquired the company in 1998, to become the largest ISP in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.

In 1994, Mr. Wilson was appointed by Minnesota Governor Arne Carlson to the Government Information Access Council (GIAC). From 1994 until 1996, Mr. Wilson served as chair of a working group making recommendations to the state of Minnesota on best methods for implementing Internet and World Wide Web technology into state government operations. Mr. Wilson is a graduate of Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota (1976-1979), where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with Mathematics interdisciplinary and a Bachelor of Science degree in Astronomy.
